Reform School and Tanya Aquiniga are hosting a great even this Saturday, June 15.

Tanya has teamed up with Dwell On Design to create

Move-In Kits to welcome home LA’s homeless into permanent housing. They are looking for local knitters to donate their time and or knit & crocheted squares to create handmade blankets for the kits.
How can you help? They will be hosting a “Knit-In” at the shop from 11-6pm this Saturday, led by Jo Abellera of KKIBO. Stop by to hang out and knit some squares or use one of the knitting machines that they will have set up. Yarn will be available but they welcome you to bring your own. They are hoping to help Tanya create at least 75 blankets so they can use all the help they can get!
If you can’t stop by on Saturday they will be taking donations through next week. Drop of your 12×12 knit or crochet squares  at the shop and they will be sure they are put to good use. You can also drop off any donations of completed handmade knit blankets, quilts, etc.
If you aren’t in the area please mail your donations to:
ReForm School
3902 West Sunset Blvd
Los Angeles, Ca 90029

(they will take donations thru 6/18)

Check out the details on the project HERE

So bring your needles, smiles and be ready to earn
good karma points!

Eye Salute You!

May 21st, 2013

Yummyfun friend, Stella, had a Marketplace at her school. She decided to make Eyeball Cupcakes for the occasion. Each Eyeball was carefully created:

Each bloodshot vein was carefully applied:

And some inventions were made! Check out these Reptile Eye Cupcakes! Just use sideways M&Ms for the pupils instead of tiny jelly beans!

High Five to Stella for her effort and skill! I hope your Marketplace was super fun!

As in, you can see it RIGHT NOW…right this minute. Please open your mind and give it a whirl by buying a dvd or downloading it here. You will never be the same and you will not be sorry!
